Re(introducing) Blactina Galeria

Blactina Galeria, founded by Nidia Simone in 2020, is an online art platform with the central aim of promoting artists from Latin America and the Caribbean and connecting them with Black art enthusiasts internationally. Simone was inspired to start the gallery while living in the Dominican Republic, where she observed talented migrant artists lacking broader visibility. The gallery distinguishes itself by offering original artworks, often created on uniquely prepared fabric canvases due to material accessibility. Beyond sales, Blactina Galeria is dedicated to supporting these artists through resource provision and narrative shifting, aiming to provide them with global opportunities and recognition, as highlighted by the diverse backgrounds of represented artists like Max and Junior Leon.
